This statue depicts Hanuman the monkey god, considered to be the god of power and strength. He is the most devoted servant of Ram (an incarnation of Vishnu). Hanuman assisted Ram in his war against the demon Ravana. As a loyal servant to Ram, he was instrumental in rescuing Sita (wife of Ram) who was captured and held by Ravana. Ram blessed Hanuman for his devotion and loyalty by granting him perpetual youth and immortality. This statue is 6″ tall beautifully detailed and is finished in antiqued brass.
