Bergamot Oil

Dear Rose: The Latin words citrus Bergama, translated as bergamot orange, is a fragrant fruit the size of an orange, with a yellow color similar to a lemon. It has been ordinarily cultivated in Italy, with the oil extracted from the peel of the fruit that actually has many uses. In fact, there are many benefits of bergamot oil, including supporting balanced blood sugar and cholesterol. I am sure however that you must have seen the very popular bergamot tea around. It has quite an exotic taste and in fact is considered quite posh as teas go—in fact, very often such a tea is served at a fancy tea party. However, you don’t need to go to a tea party to sample the true smell or benefits of Bergamot Essential Oil.

But here’s the best part, at least for us ladies who are always dieting and trying to appear slimmer. One of the benefits of bergamot oil is its use of supporting an individual’s weight loss efforts.

How do benefits of  bergamot oil work to reduce fat?

Now this is a short explanation of how one of the benefits of bergamot oil which is cleansing the system of fats. Did you know that essential oil of bergamot contains cleansing and astringent substances, which makes it beneficial for a wide range of conditions and situations?

However, perhaps what draws the most attention to bergamot is that, especially when compared to other citrus varieties, bergamot contains extremely large amounts of polyphenols. Now we have all ready that polyphenols are micro ingredients in both coffee and tea that are said to be valuable preventatives in the fight against cancer and heart diseases. Polyphenols in bergamot are helpful compounds believed to halt production of blood fats, stimulate the metabolism, and prevent the absorption of cholesterol, an outstanding benefit of bergamot. Stimulating the endocrine system does this.

How benefits of  bergamot oil work by stimulating the endocrine system.

This is actually a more understandable example of how a weight loss product works. It appears that similar to lavender or peppermint, bergamot is one of the few essential oils that stimulates the endocrine system to produce relaxed and calm feelings. This action as we all know can combat emotional stress, a symptom commonly linked to overeating or “comfort eating.” Typically, most unhealthy foods are consumed during emotional eating. The stress relieving action and benefits of bergamot oil essentially promise weight loss since it helps to connect to the emotional stress that leads to remote eating.

One of the other benefits of bergamot oil is that it also stimulates hormone action and helps maintain proper metabolic rates. This stimulation increases digestive juices, bile and insulin, all of which promote nutrient absorption, decomposition of sugar and fats and the lowering of blood sugars. When a sluggish metabolism or digestive issue leads to malnutrition and or excessive weight gain, bergamot can provides a boost. This makes it one of the exceptional benefits of bergamot oil.

Extra body weight is often a problem with a number of contributing factors. Making a concerted effort to change lifestyle habits is a great step but when a sluggish metabolism, comfort eating, or high blood sugar hinders progress, evidence suggests the benefit of bergamot.

I feel that bergamot, especially because of its very clear explanation of how it reduces fat and stimulates the endocrine system toward satiation is on its way to becoming a real contribution to weight loss.
