The intricate details of Ma’s India’s pocket-sized statue of Lord Krishna reveal his playful nature. As a young man Krishna would play his flute while tending the cow herd and playing with the gopis. All who heard his music were taken by its loveliness, lightness, and joy. Krishna with his flute reminds us the spiritual path needs not be burdensome, that it is alright to play and dance and sing in praise of the Lord. Hindu symbolism says the flute playing Krishna reminds you it is right actions that are the ideal path to salvation (instead of the ritualistic sacrifice and idol worship that was prevalent in his youth). In this fashion Krishna’s message is similar to that of the Christ. –

  • The pocket statue is artfully detailed and created by hand from an ivory substitute material.
  • The Krishna statue is washable with mild soap and water and extremely durable.
  • Microscopic beads of glass add to the 1-3/4” statue’s sheen and weight.
