This pendant in sterling silver is the word 'Ma' written in Sanskrit, which means “Mother.” Sanskrit was the classical standard language of ancient India, and some of the oldest surviving Indo-European documents are written in Sanskrit. The oldest known stage of Sanskrit is Vedic or Vedic Sanskrit, so-called because it was the language of the Veda, the most ancient extant scriptures of Hinduism, dating back to about 1500 B.C. or earlier, many centuries before writing was introduced into India. So, to wear “Ma” written in this sacred and ancient language is a very precious thing. One.can never keep “the Mother” too close.-

  • Carry “the Mother” with you wherever you go.
  • Wear the ancient and sacred language of Sanskrit.

  1. Beautiful reminder of our Divine Mother star rating

Posted by Mikeal on 27th Jul 2017

This piece fascinates me as an idea, and in my deovotion to Holy Mother Sarada Devi and Divine Mother Kali, I knew I had to have it to keep this holy syllable and all it can represent close to my heart.

In person the pendant is far more beautiful than the pictures. I love it. Get one, wear it, and remember our Mothers.
